    继著名Windows Mobile设备生产商O2的亚洲部门出售给MWG（Mobile and Wireless Group）之后，在2008年01月03日，MWG对外公布了两款代号为“Zinc II”和“Atom V”的Windows Mobile智能手机。在北京时间2008年02月26日，MWG的Atom V的真机照片在互联网上出现。

    从图片上看Atom V已经和O2 Atom系列相比，已经有些“变味”，首先导航键和功能键变的十分狭窄，操作起来应该不会太舒服，MWG也为新的Atom打造了易用的待机界面。机身左侧加入了滚轮，此外还有microSD存储卡插槽，拍照快捷键，不过MWG的Atom V仍然采用了2.5毫米的耳机插槽。
