美Autotext起诉IBM苹果和惠普等23家厂商

    11月15日消息，美国特拉华州的Autotext科技公司起诉包括IBM、苹果在内的23家高科技公司侵犯了其专利。

    据国外媒体报道称，受到Autotext起诉的公司包括：苹果、AT&T、Helio、惠普、宏达电美国、IBM、Kyocera、LG电子美国公司、微软、摩托罗拉、任天堂美国公司、诺基亚、Nuance Communications、Palm、高通、Research In Motion、三星美国公司、三星北美公司、索尼、索尼-爱立信、T-Mobile、Verizon Wireless、Zi Corporation。

    Autotext称，所有这些受到起诉的公司都侵犯了一项“基于计算机的抄写”专利。这一专利与预测性的文字处理有关，当用户开始输入字母时，会出现一个单词列表供用户选择。

    侵犯该专利的大多数设备都是手机，但也有一些非手机产品，例如，IBM的Lotus Notes、高通的Eudora 7.1电子邮件客户端、苹果的Mac OS X 10.4操作系统和Safari浏览器、Nuance的T9系统、任天堂的Wii、索尼的PS3。
