秘鲁发现四千年前美洲最古老壁画(图)

    秘鲁考古学家10日说，他们在秘鲁北部沿海地区发掘出一座有4000年历史的神庙，里面装饰的壁画可能是美洲大陆迄今发现的最古老壁画(上图)。

    主持发掘的秘鲁考古学家沃尔特·阿尔瓦说，这座古代神庙位于一片废墟中；神庙的阶梯通往一处考古学家命名为“本塔隆”的拜火祭坛。

    阿尔瓦说，神庙所在遗址位于兰巴耶克谷地，距首都利马约760公里，邻近上世纪80年代发掘的古西潘遗址。但本塔隆的建造年代远早于古西潘，大约在公元前2000年。

    “这是一座有4000年历史的古庙，”阿尔瓦说，“令人惊奇的不仅在于它的建造方法和建筑设计，更在于那些可能是美洲大陆最古老的壁画。”

    阿尔瓦说，这座神庙显示，兰巴耶克地区曾是秘鲁太平洋沿岸与其他地区间的最大文化交流中心之一。(新华)
