WS016SH的屏幕尺寸达到了5英寸，屏幕分辨率也采用了属于UMPC水平的WSVGA标准（1024×600像素），颜色显示效果为26万色。而在插上外接显卡并且通过RGB/USB传输线连接到高分辨率的显示设备上之后，夏普WS016SH可以在1360×768像素分辨率下表现出1677万全色的显示效果。在数据存储方面，夏普WS016SH使用了NTFS分区的容量为40GB的1.8英寸Ultra ATA/100硬盘，考虑到整体设计以及机身体积，夏普WS016SH没有使用任何软驱设备。

WS016SH支持IEEE802.11b/g无线互联标准，并且采用了支持EDR技术的2.0版本蓝牙标准，通过Willcom公司的W-SIM以及W-OMA PHS技术（通俗理解的话就是小灵通）可以支持短信功能和电话功能。不过，夏普WS016SH本身并不能完整实现通话功能，必须通过一个配套的蓝牙电话设备才能够接打电话，这一点还是比较遗憾的，也让“Vista智能手机”这个招牌略打折扣。
