至于人们最关注的810万像素镜头的主要功能方面，索尼爱立信C905这次也采用了下滑式镜头盖设计，向下滑动镜头盖即可启动相机功能。装载的是最大光圈为f2.8的5.9毫米镜头，还提供了Xenon闪光灯和辅助聚焦灯以及自拍镜等设计。不过，在具体的拍照功能选择方面，客观的说，该机较之过去的C902等手机没有体现出明显的提升。包括脸部追踪自动聚焦、影像防抖、BestPic9张连拍、PhotoFix等拍照功能都与过去没有多少差异。

惟有Smart Contrast智能型对比功能是新增的功能，开启后可通过相机自动对画面对比度的调节，使画面拥有更为丰富的细节。而除了支持16倍数码变焦和多种场景模式设置等功能之外，该机还支持QVGA分辨率的视频拍摄功能，并可输出最大分辨率为3264×2448像素的照片，达到了家用级数码相机的水准。
