A236内置一个30万像素的摄像头，配备闪光灯，传感器类型为CMOS。最大可以拍摄640×480像素的照片，支持四倍变焦。虽然仅仅是30万象素，但可供设置的功能可一点都没有少。A236照片质量有一般，简洁，标准，最佳和较好有五种选择，并且令人吃惊的支持10连拍功能，同时配置了12种非常可爱的相框样式，可以选择黑白、怀旧、热情、忧郁、宁静、底片、油画等七种特殊效果。总的来说，A236的拍照能力在同类摄像手机中表现较好，特别是色彩的还原较为真实，但由于自身象素的限制，与市场主流的百万像素拍摄手机还是有很大的差距。

A236还支持全屏视频拍摄，最大可以拍摄595K左右的视频片段。影像传送可拍摄出三组不超过97K的片段，可以通过MMS发送，但分辨率较小，影像也比较模糊，毕竟A236不是以拍摄功能作为卖点。
