    东直门簋街：昔日萧瑟今不在，杯酒交错胜除夕

    东直门簋街几乎是北京人生活中必不可少的部分。但无论是白天的宽敞平坦，还是夜晚的觥酬交错，似乎都和“鬼气森色”毫不搭界。带着疑问记者寻访了在隔街路边纳凉的几位老人。老人很热情，你一言我一语地道出很多关于簋街的故事。

    “姑娘，看见街头那个大酒杯了吧，下面写的是‘簋街’，不是小鬼儿的‘鬼儿’，这都是图文雅后改的。老人清清嗓子接着说：“住在东直门的老人儿都知道，几十年前这儿可并不是这样，从城门楼往外看是一大片的坟场，城门里的棺材铺子倒是不少，平时也没什么人。”

    “这门过去就是抬死人用的”，另一个看起来更年长的说：“不过说不上什么时候开始有了早市了，天没亮就开张，卖的都是小东西，小煤灯忽闪忽闪的，还真有点像鬼火。”

    这些都是解放前的传说，真正的餐饮一条街的形成是在1997年，当时还没有一条通宵营业的饮食街，当时也就几个商家，人气不旺，“鬼”名气也就不胫而走了。

    即便后来红火了也有人说夜里城外的鬼都进来吃饭，要不怎么白天没有夜里热闹呢。但爱热闹的现代人也就把这些当成餐桌上的谈资，一笑而过。
