天方夜谭：世界十大诡异莫测的未解之谜(图)

    极道杀手在20世纪60年代的北加利福尼亚州活跃了10个月。他至少造成了五死两伤。他承认前两次在Benecia境内犯的案件使用的是手枪。他在Vallejo开了他的第二枪，本来是想杀死两个人的，但是一个却在被击中头部和颈部的情况下存活了下来。40分钟后，警局收到了一个匿名电话，打电话者声称自己是凶手，并承认之前凶杀案中的两个受害者也是他杀的。一个月中，他给加利福尼亚报社寄了三封信，信中包含着一些需要解码的文字，宣称会告诉他们凶手的名字。他们将其解码出来：
    
    “我喜欢杀人，这比起杀野生动物有趣多了。因为人是最最危险的动物，杀他们给我最棒的体验，甚至比和女生在一起还要让我兴奋。最棒的就是，当我死后，我会到天堂，这些我杀死的人会成为我的奴隶。我不会告诉你们我的名字，因为你们会阻止我杀人，不让我死后拥有那么多奴隶EBEORIETEMETHHPITI”。最后的18个字母没有解码成功。
    虽然Arthur Leigh Allen被认为是首要嫌疑犯，所有的证据都指证他为凶手，但是十二宫凶杀案还是没有被破解。
