　　同卵双胞胎是一种很少见的现象，但是异卵双胞胎往往会在同一个家庭中反复出现。这种家庭的母亲往往会拥有"超级排卵"的基因，这使得她的身体在排卵期会释放出多个卵子。尽管男性不会受这种基因直接困扰，但是仍有可能遗传给自己的女儿，导致在孙辈中出现双胞胎。这也是为什么双胞胎经常会隔代出现的原因。
