　　Ms. Kathy Xu is the partner of Baring Private Equity Partners (Hong Kong ) Limited. She manages a US$500 million fund, which provides growth capital to IT companies in Aisa, particularly in greater China. Ms Xu has led the firm‘s investments in many successful companies such as Vanda System (the largest system integrator in the banking industry in China, listed at HK Stock Exchange. The firm has realized 10x return after 2 year holding with a US$35 million price on US$3.5 million cost), Netstar (the largest management buyout in IT sector in Asia), Netease.Com (the leading Internet portal in China, listed at Nasdaq), Newpalm ( the leading wireless service provider in China).
　　
　　
　　Ms Xu serves as a director of the Board of these companies and have helped these portfolio companies hiring the top management, bringing in strategic investors, designing Option Schemes and initiating IPO plans and merger & acquisition. Ms Xu was the speaker at China Venture Capital Conference organized by Nasdaq & China Venture Capital Association; CCTV Dialogue Program, Beijing University MBA Program
　　
　　Prior to BPEP, Ms Xu has served as an Investment Manager for Peregrine Direct Investments Limited, and prior to that Ms Xu was a Senior Auditor for Pricewaterhouse and Assistant Manager for Bank of China.
　　
　　Ms Kathy Xu holds Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from Nanjing University and is qualified in UK as Certified Public Accountant, she speaks fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
