当EW评测室刚测试完AMD HD3870X2没过多久后，NVIDIA也迫不及待的将其最新的旗舰产品GeForce 9800GX2展示到世人面前，很明显NVIDIA GeForce 9800GX2的发布除了取代上代产品GeForce 8800Ultra旗舰产品的王座外，主要也是用来针对AMD-ATi的双核旗舰显卡Radeon HD 3870X2，下面就随同笔者一起来借势这款显卡的性能。

随着系统对3D处理能力要求的越来越迫切，单一显示核心的处理能力已经不足以满足需求，同时由于工艺制程的制约，GPU的发展也慢慢遭遇瓶颈，于是，各大图形芯片厂商都把目光集中到了多核心显卡方案上。其实最早NVIDIA的7系列产品中就已经能看到双核心技术的身影，GeForce 7950GX2是最早使用双核心的解决方案，而如今NVIDIA即将发布上市的GeForce 9800GX2也采用了这种设计方案。

从官方数据来看，GeForce 9800GX2采用了两颗代号为G92-450的GeForce 8800GTS芯片打造，因为从单卡成绩上看，GeForce 8800GTS比起Radeon HD 3870就有着不少的领先优势，因此相信这张双G92-450核心的9800GX2显卡，在驱动没有问题的前提下将很有可能威胁到ATi新代卡皇AMD-ATi Radeon HD 3870X2的地位。现在我们就将在下面的评测中为大家揭晓谜底，不过在揭晓谜底前我们先来看看GeForce 9800GX2的核心规格。
