    美国填埋甲虫。仅25,000只。这种甲虫喜欢生活在黑暗、不受干扰且动物死尸富足的地区。它们是大自然的搬运工，习惯于为后代储藏动物的死尸。它们在美国现身的范围已经从曾经的35个州下降到9个州，同时数量也在下降。
