    潜水员兼摄影师皮特·梅斯利表示，在特鲁克岛礁湖的潜水是他生命中最佳潜水经历之一。沿着一艘沉船的残骸，他们发现了比沉船残骸更重要的东西。他们在日本“山雾”号商船中发现了人类骨骼。梅斯利说：“最震惊的潜水画面可能就是这次在轮机舱发现人类头骨，它嵌在一个机器部件中。其他人类遗骸散落在暗礁上。这是一个让人想起死亡恐惧的遗骸。”
